Tender Greens is a fast-casual restaurant chain that operates chef led kitchens with locations throughout California and New York. In 2017, Tender Greens went through a complete rebrand. The rebrand included everything from the logo, website and store. They approached us to redesign the packaging to fit with their new brand transformation.
Tender Greens wanted to reintroduce their brand as a Chef's Kitchen. The new logo is meant to evoke the passion, innovation and creativity of their chefs. They came to us to design new packaging that would showcase that passion.
One of the goals was to bring the dine-in experience to go for the customer. With that in mind, we designed the packaging to emulate the unique and iconic shape of the Tender Greens Steelite plates.
Another requirement was to design feature that would hold the sides container snugly in place inside. This was accomplished by designing the corner radius to match the sides container and adding a slight raised area to secure the part in.
From there we designed a whole family of products to match the look and ethos of the flagship part.
This includes half pan and quarter pan container that fit into a standard size catering box.
